Miller's Annual Climbing Competition
Elevating our skills, our standards, and each other.
About the Event
The last Friday of every January, our climbers assemble for a full‑day skills showdown designed to make us safer, smarter, and stronger aloft. Following official ISA Tree Climbing Competition rules, the event features all five core disciplines:
- Throwline
- Ascent
- Work Climb
- Speed Climb
- Aerial Rescue
Beyond sharpening technique through coaching, real‑time feedback, and hands‑on practice, the competition also serves as our qualifier for the Florida ISA Tree Climbing Championship held each March. ISA rules allow each company to send a maximum of four climbers, and with more than 20 teammates vying for those spots, every run counts.
While performance is paramount, the day is equally about camaraderie—crews cheering one another on, trading tips, and celebrating personal bests. It’s our favorite way to turn training into an unforgettable team experience and to showcase the professionalism that sets Miller’s apart.
Below you’ll find year‑by‑year results, highlight reels, and links to each competition video. Dive in, see how our athletes stack up, and share in the progress we log one climb at a time.
