The Challenge
Illinois Bank Trust sought to improve the appearance and safety of the trees and landscaping surrounding their facilities. The existing landscape had become overgrown and unkempt over time, with trees blocking signage, obstructing sight lines for traffic, and presenting a less-than-professional image for a financial institution. Several trees also posed potential liability concerns due to deadwood and low-hanging branches near parking areas and walkways where customers and employees regularly passed.
Our Approach
Miller's Tree Service worked with the bank's facilities management team to develop a beautification plan that balanced aesthetics with safety and long-term sustainability. Our arborists pruned and shaped the existing trees to open up views of the building, improve natural light penetration, and create a clean, well-maintained appearance consistent with the bank's professional image. Hazardous deadwood was removed, low limbs over walkways were raised to appropriate clearance heights, and overgrown shrub layers were addressed to complement the improved tree canopy.
The Result
The completed project gave the bank's grounds a polished, welcoming appearance that made a positive first impression on customers and visitors. Safety hazards were eliminated, signage visibility was restored, and the overall landscape presented a cohesive and professional look. The bank's investment in proper tree care enhanced both the property's value and its role as a community landmark.
