Our team

Drew Miller, a Tallahassee native, started Miller's Tree Service back in 1999 with a truck, a chainsaw, and a whole lot of passion. Inspired by his dad's entrepreneurial spirit (he helped launch the Seminole Boosters!) and his own strong work ethic gained from serving in the United States Marine Corps, Drew built a thriving business from the ground up.
When he's not busy caring for trees, Drew enjoys spending time with his wife, Courtney, and their two sons, Ryder and Colson. You might find them cheering on their favorite sports teams, exploring the outdoors on a hunting trip, or simply enjoying a relaxing day by the river. Drew can also still be seen on-site with customers, ensuring top-quality service, or competing in our annual climbing competition.
“When I started this business, I never could have imagined the growth our company has today. Our loyal customers have become family to us and because of them, we have been able to successfully expand our services.”

Bryan Wilson joined the Miller's Tree Service team in 2010, bringing with him decades of experience and an unmatched work ethic. As an ISA Certified Arborist and an ISA Certified Tree Climber, Bryan is passionate about ensuring the safety of our crews and exceeding industry standards.
You'll often find Bryan leading weekly safety meetings, overseeing our operations, and providing expert tree care to his loyal customers – both residential and commercial. Originally from Alexandria, Louisiana, Bryan moved to Tallahassee in 1987. He and his wife, Faith, are proud parents to their daughter, Ashleigh.
In his free time, Bryan enjoys embracing southern traditions such as quail hunting, as well as rooting for LSU football and settling in for a good western movie.
“My proudest professional accomplishment is the quality of Miller’s Tree Service we have created. Most important are the awesome people we have surrounded ourselves with. This is the best quality of people I have ever worked with in all my years in the industry.”

Clay Culpepper brought his expertise and a loyal customer base to Miller's Tree Service when he joined the team in 2011, merging his own business, Gibbs & Culpepper Tree Service, with ours.
Not only is Clay an ISA Certified Arborist with years of hands-on experience, but he also holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's in tax accounting from the University of Alabama and Florida State University respectively. Before becoming a tree care professional, Clay worked as a CPA for eight years, bringing valuable financial and business acumen to our company.
Born in Andalusia, Alabama, Clay has been a Tallahassee resident since he was five. He and his wife, Angie, are busy raising their three active boys: Ashby, Carson, and Hagan. When he's not at the office, you might find Clay enjoying the outdoors – hunting, fishing, or golfing. He's also an avid sports enthusiast, coaching his sons' teams through the years and always cheering on the Crimson Tide with unwavering loyalty.
“I’m very proud of partnering up with Drew and Bryan and helping us grow from around 7 employees to currently over 60. Our growth and success are something I take great pride in and the people and culture we have at MTS I would not trade with anyone. I really love to come to work every day, and I think that speaks volumes to the kind of people we have on our team and the loyal customer base we have.”

Tim Walters joined the Miller's Tree Service team in 2012, bringing with him over 10 years of hands-on experience in the tree care industry. Starting as a skilled climber and foreman, Tim has consistently exceeded expectations and now serves as the Head of Operations. He is the driving force behind our day-to-day field operations, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and at the highest standards.
Tim's dedication to excellence is reflected in his impressive credentials. He's a Certified Arborist (CA), a Certified Tree Worker (CTW), a Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP), and also holds the Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) and the Prescription Pruning Qualification (PPQ). Beyond his work at Miller’s, Tim is actively involved in the Florida International Society of Arboriculture (ISA), serving on its Education Committee and regularly volunteering at the annual ISA Florida State Climbing Championships.
Originally from Cheyenne, Wyoming, Tim followed his passion for the outdoors to Florida when he was just 18. Today, he and his wife, Christen, along with their two children, Pauly and Ivy Anne, call Wakulla County home. When he's not busy at work, you can find Tim enjoying the great outdoors – hunting, fishing, and camping with his family.
“Hard work, punctuality, and integrity always pay off.”

Clay Cantley joined Miller’s Tree Service with extensive experience in lawn care and landscape services. He received his bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Albany State University, and after years of working as an elementary teacher, decided to start his own lawn care and landscape business.
Clay is the fifth Certified Arborist at Miller’s Tree Service and now holds the ISA Precision Pruning Qualification (PPQ). His combined experience in lawn care, landscaping, and tree care give Clay a big-picture view of a customer’s total landscape needs.
Born in Bainbridge, Ga., Clay and his wife, Allison, have two kids, Maddox and Emsley. Clay is a scratch golfer who enjoys fishing and playing with his children.
“My favorite part of working at Miller’s Tree Service is being a part of a team with a focus on the big picture.”

Katie Watkins is a Sales Arborist at Miller’s Tree Service, specializing in tree health care and helping customers make informed decisions about the long-term well-being of their trees. She recently earned her ISA Certified Arborist credential, further strengthening her expertise in plant health care and tree preservation.
Katie has been an integral part of the Miller’s Tree Service team since 2015. Before moving into her current role, she spent ten years as our Office Manager, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and delivering exceptional customer service.
A true Tallahassee native, Katie's passion for the Seminoles runs deep. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Ryan, and their two wonderful children, Lynnlee and Grayson. You can often find the whole family making memories on the water. Katie also shares her tree care journey on Instagram at @katiethetreelady.

Ryan Laird is an estimator focused on Wakulla County and the southern part of Leon County. A fun-loving guy, Ryan is known for his infectious energy and his joyfully bright presence – especially when cruising around in his unmistakable Miller's Tree Service green-wrapped pickup truck.
Beyond his role in tree care, Ryan is deeply involved in his community serving on the Board of Directors for the Wakulla County Historical Society, preserving and celebrating the area's rich history. When he's not providing expert estimates or sharing local lore, you might catch him entertaining theories about Bigfoot.
“Every day on the job is an adventure. I love getting to know our customers, their land, and helping them find the best solutions for their trees.”
